6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

Lurching at 35 mph
My car (a 2005 645 - 88K miles) has started lurching - just a quick hesitation, like it is not getting full power and then a tiny kick when it is over (all in about 1/2 a second) at around 35 mph. The problem was there before but went away for awhile (I quit using the DS mode as it seemed to make it appear - now it seems to go away when I put it in DS mode?). It was not as acute or noticeable as it is now though. Any thoughts, or experiences on the issue?

Are you getting any codes? Sounds like a coil pack is starting to fail, or short out. If this is the case, the jerk happens in a higher gear, at partial throttle. Full throttle will usually clear the hesitation, then run fine. Other problems could be a weak battery, or fuel related problem.
Good Luck! |

I would consider also doing a BG44k fuel system clean, at your mileage it is well worth it if you have not done anything before, plus you should also have had the fuel filter replaced by now ?????
