another wheel tyre combo question

Hi,

I have a set of 22 inch wheels 22 x 9.5 ET15 and 22 x 10.5 ET25. I want to put them onto 265/35/22 tyres and 295/30/22 tyres. does anyone see a problem with this or what is a better size to run?

2004 4.4l e53 x5

Thanks
Terence

Honestly I've seen X5's even E70's on 22's and they never look good to me. They sit too tall. I had to pull up right next to a white E53 a few months ago in a parking lot to let him/her see what an X5 is supposed to look like.
Maybe if they are lowered it would look better, but just throwing the 22's on there kills it.
30 at the rear with 295 will be close, usually 285 35 but they should be good with no rubbing.

Yea, I plan on lowering before I put the wheels on which should have been included in the original statement.

If its lowered then 295 30 at the rear should be fine because the 285 35 22's are a fatter tire. The front is fine. The rear is usually the worry spot due to the molding outside the fuel tank which is close on other tires already.
Make sure it looks good though (not to me of course).
