Huge discount offered

Just got an envelope in the mail from corporate BMW with the following offer:

If leasing a new model by 4/1/13, they will write off up to 3 months worth of my current lease payments ($800+/mo), + $500 credit, + $750 loyalty credit, + any current applicable incentives.

So I am potentially looking at a new 2014 X5 or whatever, with a steep $4000+ discount.

They are driving me nuts with this very tempting offer, was going to get a full blown 7 seater from another make...

What would you do?

ps. I have only 1 payment left so all in all the savings for me will only be about $2000+.

+1 -- or the GL, Armada, Tahoe, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Acadia, etc. If you were considering a 7 seater than you must actually have a need for one, go get what you need.

Business tax deduction reasons. The discount applies to purchases as well.

you are not getting "special & individualized" treatment - i got the same deal just now, too (and used it to lease 2013 x5d)

Alex, I never said they rolled out the red carpet for me only, I am just an average Joe who happens to look like Sgt. Slaughter. LOL.

Zephion, not even close. I was thinking either the new Pathfinder (not as nice as the X5 but still quite nice) or the Durango BLACK TOP (for the looks and HP of course)!!! I know both of them will drive like a boat compared to the X5 especially the Merican, but hell, I have to put family comfort before my wants, right?

Production of the 2014 X5 starts in August so you will not be getting a 2014 if you order now... What you will get is a 2013 which BMW is trying to clear its inventory of to make room for the 2014, hence the offer you (and others) are getting.

Agree with the others, if you need a 7 seater, go get yourself one and forget about the X5

You won't be getting the 2014 model. They're not going on sale until the summer.

If you're looking at a 7 seater, take that letter to the Mercedes dealer (i'm assuming it's a GL ) and tell them to offer you a good deal. I'm sure they'll try to get you into a Mercedes, instead of another BMW.

EDIT: Just saw that it's going to be an american car. Wait for about a month. Refreshed Durango is being shown at the New York Auto Show next week. This means two things. Lower prices on the 2013 models and there's rumors of a diesel Durango if you want to go that route and wait for a 2014
