+1

Yeah, That doesnt make any sense to me either...
. Most People buy what they like....or at least I do.

I simply LIKE this body style but also wish that it didnt have the issues associated with the year(s). I've got friends with all kinds of expensive cars but I often tease one because he drives an older car....when his wife drives a REALLY nice one. He told me he liked his car and we left it at that. He's wealthy, the guy down the street is rich, the guy a few blocks over makes a good living...huuuuge difference in the 3 and their attitudes about stuff like this.

EVERYONE knows what these cars cost new and what they are worth NOW. I seriously doubt that anyone is frontin that hard to where they think nobody has access to autotrader.com to see the value of a car.

Then again, people talk a big game in one thread...then complain about fuel prices in the next .....so I'll leave it at that

It really doesn't! There are people who aren't businessmen/businesswomen who drive something way more expensive than our beloved 7 series. I know of a couple business men that drive a freakin' toyota for crying out loud.

I think you mean way less expensive than our 7's... Unless by Toyota you meant Nissan, and it happens to be a GT-R!

I agree with 1Bad,but it depends which country You live in,over here i hate it when people think your'e rich because you drive such a car, because insurance gas prices tax and maintenance our skyhigh ,thats why people drive/lease small cheap Cars to drive a 7 daily costs like 1000 each month, and most people earn 2000 so You'll have to have a salary let's say about 3000 each month to drive THE car pay your Bills and save a bit money ,and even with 3000 salary You'll have to live like THE budggy,so only well well paid jobs only such people can drive it That's why THE 7 you Don't see them much ,and if You spot on mostly old people drive it .In THE US it's different i think IMO

exactly. that's why an e65 from let's say 2002 till 2004 isn't considered anything too fancy in the states while over here (in the Netherlands) it's still seen as a very luxurious car and you don't see too many of them on the roads. For example the cheapest 7 you can buy over here, which is a 730d, costs 92.500. So the cars are a lot more expensive to purchase to begin with. Ad to that a monthly payment of more than 300 euro for road tax, high insurance prices and a ridiculous gas price (today's price is 1,83 a liter).

It's very interesting for me to read the differences between the Netherlands and the states. Over there people who aren't even in their 20's are driving (older) 7's while over that's unheard of.

Who cares, you buy what you can afford to buy. Age has nothing to do with anything.
