Walkie Talkie suggestion!! Use channel 5-1

At last year's event we used 4-20 since that was the date of the event. I suggest 5-1 for this year's event. Hopefully this suggestion is accepted and the word gets around

a bit concerned.......many of the radio users might be using a different model radio......a cheap one that doesn't support sub-channels....and in this case, using channel 5 subchannel 1, those cheap radio users would not be able to communicate with us, only hear what we are saying.

I suggest a non-secure channel, maybe 5. or 7, or 3...(i wish we could choose channel M )

I think this is a great idea. Lets just make sure we all knwo the channel. I bought two motorla walkie talkies just for this event.

I had posted for channel 11 to be the official channel of the OC caravan but I heard some people's walkie talkies don't go up that high...and since I own an M3, and many of the people going to bimmerfest own 3-series I think we should stick to channel 3 with no subchannel

We might have used the date last year, but it wasn't on 4-20.

4-12, and I think it was picked at random. Last years Fest was held Saturday, 4/19.

So what's going on...only two days until bimmerfest and no official channel. I'll re-nominate channel 3...hopefully we can get a consensus here.
