AWW NAH MAN! Happy you've finally sold her, but sad to see her go.
Did you ever find an e38 sport?

theres a short sport in pretty good nick for sale in my area. Motor is "blown" but for the price, i think it would be a fun weekend of work to have a really cheap one...

Yes I did actually. one in princeton,NJ and one in Boston.
The one in boston is the year and color I've been searching for silver/black.
But with the mileage, some electrical gremlins, and thefact he's the 3rd owner. he wants too much and willing to sit on it to get it.

Yeah I saw that one. Only issue is I don't have a garage, I'm a open driveway mechanic. And it's too cold right now.

It's an auto? Why did I think you had a 6-spd.
This is not good, you need a 6 spd trans.
We have to find you one.

Call it a Bf.c/fest 6 spd trans initiative.

I had an e38 before i went e34 so i could get a 6 speed with my m60 haha!

Anyways, i could be wrong. But from the 2 sec i looked at that ad it was a fruad!

Any real e38 m sport. Many fakes fyi. Have a side slot for the shifter so as to be a slap stick!
That appears to be a standard shift patern no slap stick!

Small details to look for!

If im mistaken im sorry. Stuck on my iphone for now!

That was the other reason I passed on it.
There are tons which claim to be msports very very very few are.
Those who have them and sell them ask for 5k and better, unless something is wrong with the trans or blew the head. (found a few of these)

Nah man. I've been educated on them from a few owners.
I can smell them from a mile away now.

Yes, this was in case others were looking at it also.

The trans is the 1 thing to really look at. The rest can be purchased and slapped on in hours..

No one fakes the trans.. I think

As much as it embarrasses me, I've never learned to drive a manual. I know, Iknow, it's sad.
I did drive a golf cart once that had a clutch and 3 speeds but it was like 15 yrs ago.lol

Auto's are for woman, towing/big trucks. If it were required to pass a driving test in a manual car, lt would remove only people who should not drive. If you cant at least learn for the test why should you be able to drive anything legally..

Pass a 10 minute test in an auto civic and you get a license to drive manual mustang svt cobra/Bugatti veyron's / and giant suv's...ect

Any old person who can pass a driving test in a stick shift is fit to drive.

Also... DMV will threaten my license for tickets even as i pay them.

But crash all day, have an accident every week! No point's so people doing 80 never having a problem lose a license and that dumb bitch who keeps running in to everyone who cant make it up to the speed limit just gets another car keeps on driving.

Get rid off those people wtf!

If you can drive a stick shift, you can drive anything!
Motorcycles/atv..ect even operate on the same way and skill transfer to anything!

Whatever don't really mind it, it's a lot nicer for dd'ing. I still have a blast with mine, no matter what anyone will say...
It's hard to find someone that is willing to let me ruin their clutch.
If my transmission goes I will get a six-speed, but for now I have other issues I need to fix.
I need a new front bumper, and really need some body work that needs attention.
I really need to pull my console and change my carpet.
My seats need recovering.
Etc etc etc

Lol my aunt actually has a mint 1996 3000gt that needs a clutch.
It's only got like 80k on it. I thought about trying to get her to give it to me.
The poor thing just sits in her garage collecting dust.
It's red, back in the day she gave me rides to high school in it and I always loved it.

Went auto crossing this weekend. 35 degrees with a constant 15mph wind. Real cold day. Tires never got warm. Z is on $hitty tires and the coilovers aren't totally dialed in which made for a helluva accidental drift after the last corner through the finsih line...

I'd love to try an Auto -cross in the m-sport. We have one like right across the street from where I live! They usually are held on Sundays and I have to work.

Still a winter wonderland here, at least in the mtns.

Went some new places now that the snow has firmed up some. You never assume you can just ride over the top of something around here though. It was 500 feet straight down into the trees on the back side of this one. We came across the meadow, up through the trees which opened up into this steep hill.

On the top....

Then after lunch we had a crunch. My friend "Rock Crusher 12000", so named because his wicked crash occurred at about 12,000 feet, and that is about the cost of the new sled he is going to need. This could have been REALLY, REALLY BAD. His botched hillclimb took him over a rock outcrop, bucked him off and ghost rode into the rocks hard, flipping twice landing on more rocks. It took us 5 hours to get this off the rocks and back to the trucks 17 miles away. The pic isn't too great, the lower a-arm is sheared off along with all of its mounting points. The belly pan is split all the way across and I really don't think the whole front end was very well attached anymore. We didn't even look under the hood, it ran, we ran with that. We cobbled it up with a shovel handle, tree branch and about 100 feet of parachute cord. Towards the end we pretty much towed it, the busted up sled was hard work to ride. Out before dark, no broken people.... I was definately having my doubts as I watched it unfold at first though. Always an adventure out here in the wild wooley west

you're posting in it...

So this was #1 of the SCCA NNJR AutoX.
Car was doing well, i need camber arms to tilt the wheels and tires in so that i may drop the rear a bit more and have a more balanced weight distribution as well as some decent tires. I always ran Sumitomo HTRZ and the 2s were great but the 3s were crap. I dont know if it was a factor of coldness or only having 5 runs on the day, but now that the Z is pretty much a dedicated AutoX car, i can throw on some DOT-Rs as i'm in that class anyway.

a dab of Oppo

Sled your pics always look awesome, I went snow mobiling once and loved it.. That was before I developed my hatred of snow.. It all started by having to work outside in it, numb hands, chest infections etc.

But the icing, excuse the pun, on the cake was when this happened during a freak snow storm one nite..
