Unhappy 1995 530 e34 Engine Whistle Sound

When my beemer is on after warming up, there is a loud whistle sound coming
from the engine, im not sure where exactly it's coming from....please help

Really a vaccum leak. How do i check for vacuum leaks. I just recently bought this used
1995 e34 and im pretty exited to fix it up but have ran into this problem.

Well I'm not sure if it is. Does the car idle a little rough? If you want to check for a vacuum leak. Get some carb or throttle body cleaner and spray around all the seals around any intake parts. I could be wrong this is just my opinion.

But the whistle sound only comes on after warm? Wouldn't a vacuum leak always be present? Could it be a hole in the cooling system?

i think i know the whistle you mean. all BMWs do it when they are idling.

you can hear it in this video quite well. there is a sucking sound which you can hear as well, but it the whistle/wail you can hear the sound you are talking about? you can still hear it when he does the under the car shot


all of the big engine BMWs of this era do it M30 M50 M60 M70
