Advice on E36 M3 Auto verts

All

Considering these two m3s for wifey. I already have a ZHP but she wants an auto so here goes:

In my opinion the Black m3 is a bit overpriced but it looks nice. Trying to find more put about the Estoril Blue vert. I really like that color. Thanks for any input.

Color should be the last priority. The auto in the M3 is better than the regular E36, but I distrust them both. My first suggestion would be to teach your wife how to use a manual transmission, and double clutch techniques. I've had success with that approach with all of my serious relationships.

If that is simply not possible (injury, stubbornness, etc.) the M3 auto transmission is fine, but you need to be on top if it with maintenance. I can't get to CL from work, but you should be able to find an M3 vert w/ auto transmission with under 100k miles for around $8k from a dealer. I wouldn't pay much more than that, and I certainly wouldn't buy one without a PPI by an independent mechanic and/or copious amounts of documented paperwork.
