In all seriousness, is it hard to weed out people who you want to be around, who's a creeper, not compatible with you, etc.?

I am really clean and have some requirements in a roommate, will I be SOL in finding one I like or is it like Match.com of sorts?

btw, OT is moving really fast today!

It is ridiculous how much of that town that family owns. Liberty University gets bigger every year, they can't build crap fast enough. From what I hear they have their fingers in just about every honey pot they could be in.

I have always disliked Lynchburg for reasons I can't quite explain. Aside from the whole judgmental southern baptist thing there's just something about it that gives me the heebie jeebies. When I lived at home I did all my business in Bedford or Roanoke and never went to Lynchburg of my own volition.
I'm a big history nut, so that kept me occupied for a while, but I had to flee before I got sucked in. It was really interesting. I moved there in 2008, and right when the economy tanked, Liberty started buying up everything it could. Totally took advantage of the situation and bought so much land/offices/shopping centers. It won't be long before they rename the city.

My favorite part of Lynchburg is the road system. They have what amounts to a big 'U'. 501 makes up the left (east) part, 29 makes up the right (west) part, and 460 makes up the bottom (south) part. so at the bottom of the 'U', you will see a sign that says:

501 S, 460 E, 29 N.

And in the other direction:

501 N, 460 W, 29 S.

So in Lynchburg, it's possible to be going North, South and East/West all at the same time.

I would just ask very, very, very direct questions about the things you care about. Cleanliness, daily schedule, always in the house or never home, what do they like to do when they are home, do they drink, do they smoke, do their parents come to visit them every weekend, do they go out to bars, do you have furniture, appliances, kitchen tools to contribute or do they plan on using and breaking all your stuff, etc etc etc. If you're considering living with someone, you're going to figure it all out anyway, so you might as well get it all out on the table from the get go.

Wow, how did you save pictures to your central processing unit? I have never been able to save anything to my processor. I normal save my pictures to my SSDs or one of my HDDs.

Argh... I ordered my new bike fork last Wednesday, and it has gotten to Kent, WA (about 35 minutes south of me), and now FedEx is saying that it won't be delivered until this Friday... WTF?! I hate waiting for things to arrive.

As long as you help me move and do the backyard you're welcome to the guestroom for a little while.

I would think those considerations would be an issue. I picked someone I had known already for a college roommate after not caring at all for the random selection assigned freshman year. No idea what to do in the wild.

Lol. I've gone from a 1.3mil population city to a 220k population city to an 85k town and now I'm moving to 18,000 measly people. Might as well start a farm.

I told you, James, you can use my couch. It's quite comfy. And you'll have an easy reverse commute out to Livermore. You'll get to take 84 through the twisties until you find your own place, and you'll be 2 blocks from one of the hottest scenes in San Jose: Santana Row.

Hottest as in nightlife or hottest as in heat as in police/criminal activity

while it's a great way to get great fuel economy, it also is a big blind spot for the drivers. my brother drives otr (ovah da rohd, yo) and he hates this because inevitably there are fatalities when an accident does occur. usually decapitation. the rear crash bar keeps the vehicle from going underneath, but the suspension compression and lack of crumple zone to the a pillar tends to leave very little room for occupants to 'duck'...

got the motor mounts today, so i should be able to get cadence done this weekend. hope it stays dry and warm(ish).

Bimmerworld has been a dream compared to y'all's stories with ECS. I ordered 2 days ago and everything is shipped and they've sent me three updates. Including the personal one from earlier. Good company thus far.

Bimmerworld tends to carry more performance oriented stuff, whereas ECS and others carry mostly OEM/maintenance/replacement parts.

Nope, replacing the external pump. Threads were jacked on the power wire so had to cut wire. Ran out of daylight to reconnect everything. Won't be able to get to it again until Sunday probably

The internal pump is same as e36, under backseat. External is bolted in bracket with fuel filter.

gotcha. my e32 was in the trunk. i knew the inline pump was under chassis. just couldn't remember if the e30 was like the e36 or not....

in other news, i cannot get enough of a few pieces of music...beautiful music to sit and listen to in a dark room, undisturbed. i can relax, just let my mind wander and let all sorts of creative inspiration come to me.

the musician has a lot to do with it as well. yo yo ma on the cello, but that, i believe is because du pre had her career cut short from ms...

so many on the violin, but i like (currently) sarah chang. love how she plays bach. watching how a musician interprets a composer, seeing their movement as they not only play the music but feel it....anyway, of late it's been bach's air on a string of g, meditation from thais, barber's adagio for strings, rachael yamagata's moments with oliver (short cello piece without the piano intro to quiet)...just been listening to them on a loop....love it.

i know i know....not much to do in the sticks....good thing i haz teh intarwebz!!
