My Z4 35is is on Swap Lease

Hey everyone,

I have put my Z4 on swap lease if anyone is interested. I am giving $4000 to the person who takes it over, however I am open to offers. In case anyone is interested on how it works, BMW Financial is one of the few companies out there that allows a person to completely assume a lease from someone else. Everything is done through Swaplease and to BMW Financial... so you will be leasing the car from BMW Financial under my terms. Once assumed, all financial and credit risk passes to you. My car is loaded with lots of extras... if you want them... I hardly have driven it the 16 months it has sat in my garage... Oh a couple of items not mentioned in the ad is a stubby antenna and the brake calipers have been painted black...

http://www.swapalease.com/lease/deta...x?salid=777850

PM me or contact me on swapalease if you are interested....

Wow. How the hell did you manage to get a lease payment of $1500/month?? Is it a typo? I would definitely be interested(and I'm local) but I'm not willing to spend more than $600/month. If its a typo and your in that ball park let me know. For $1500/month I can lease an M5 and still have money left over..

Ummmm $600 a month for a 73k car... that won't happen unless you put a lot of money down, or perhaps for a base Z4 35i. Keep in mind this is a Z4 35is loaded.. there is a 7k difference been just a base Z4 35is and this one. Also keep in mind that it is $1300 dollars a month (not $1500) because I am contributing 4k to the deal. Also keep in mind that I have almost in 2k cash extras that are included in the car... That said, I am open to offers.

there were a few people that got amazing lease deals on this car last year; some even under $600/month; i was hoping you were one of them

ya thats still a crazy price for that car. i just went on the bmw website, and you can lease a brand new M5 for $1366/month. this is without any negotiation (the advertised price online). i'm sure with some savy negotiation you can get an M5 lease for around $1,000/month. either way good luck

Yes.. you are correct.. you can get a M5 for 1366.. a month... plus tax.. .which adds around $100 a month... so that is $1461... then you will be putting down Tax, tag, title, and first months so that adds another 2k onto the price or $55 dollars per month... so now you are over $1500 a month (and that is only 10k miles per year, if you increase it to the milage that I have left, add $100 per month, or $1600 a month). You also have to look at total amount out of pocket over the term of the lease... right now I am offering $26,000 out of pocket for 20 months and 1200 miles per month, for the term... for the M5, you have to plan on $57,600 for 36 months... plus mine is faster :-), and I am willing to accept offers :-)

I'm going to have to agree with omaralt on this one. That is a beautiful car, but no way would I go for a lease payment of $1300, and it doesn't matter what car it is. But I do hope you find a way out from under it if that is what you want to do. Either that or get out there and start enjoying it.

Your right, but that number is based on MSRP. Nobody pays MSRP. I know people paying less than $1300 for an m5 with a $100K MSRP. Either way you got hosed big time on this lease and there is no way you're going to be able to get rid of it without getting the payment down to around $700. Not worth it for you. Just enjoy the car for the duration of the lease; it's a beautiful car

Hey sport... I have a friend of mine that has a Bentley and he is paying $550 a month... so you must have gotten really screwed on your lease deal. The reality is we all have friends who have leases etc... god knows I have a few leased cars at the moment and have leased 27 cars in the last 50 months... so I know a little about them. But the reality is you have no idea the details of the leases. If everyone was getting 100k plus cars for sub $1000 dollars a month... why is it that everyone is not driving them? I appreciate your opinion....

i really didnt mean to offend you; i've honestly been keeping a eye out for one of these. i just cant for the life of me understand how you got such a high payment.. on the bmw website right now, i speced out a Z4 35is with all options and got an msrp of $72,795. according to the online bmw calculator thats is a lease payment of $796 for 3 yrs 12K miles/yr. that is with $2500 down. this is with no negotiation at MSRP... either way good luck with the sale. for the amount your paying, you could have financed it for 3 yrs and paid only slightly more and have owned the car after 3 yrs..

I find that interesting because the lease numbers are not up on the BMW website yet for the 2013 Z4 (except for the special on a 65k msrp car)... But lets take a look at your example for a moment. $800 a month... well that does not include tax.. so add $56 a month to that number. The $2500 down does not include tax, title, origination, etc, so add another $2000 for that... so for around $900 a month, that is $4000 out of pocket. If you wanted to complete a sign and drive, increase that amount by $111 per month, which also increase taxes... so you would be just under $1100 a month.

There were many posts over the last couple of years on lease payments on the Z435is. Some less than $500 with ED and 7 MSD's.

As others have said, the $1300 you are asking (or starting at) is way too high.

You should just drive her!

I'm in a 2011 Z435is with sticker of $75K, no cap cost reduction, no ED, 7 MSDs and paying $493 including state sales tax. As OP said, there are lots of ways to structure a lease and sometimes lowest monthly payment isn't the objective of the lessee. Reasons could include rolling major negative equity from breaking a prior lease into the current lease. Not what I'd do, but different people have different appetites.

In any case, the market (and swapalease) will dictate how far off the mark your offer is. Good luck.

I also am in on a 2011 Z4 IS loaded for 2 year lease 12K miles per year for total monthly cost of $470. The other responders aren't trying to be assholes, they are just letting you know.

Nice car, but no dice for me

It sounds like a nice car to be driving. If I were you, I would just keep the car and drive until the lease is up. I agree with some of the above posters, your payments are way too high. I am in the market for a brand new M3, priced at $73K and I had an initial offer for $1300 per month for 3 years and 15,000 miles. i was able to get it down to $990 instead and that is with all fees and taxes rolled into the payment.

I've always been a believer that you shouldn't put down a large down payment. But, it is possible you traded in another car that had negative equity, thus the higher monthly payments.

Besides, you would be better off putting your large down payment in a bank and just withdrawn the funds, in addition to what you would have paid for the lower monthly payment. Why should you let the dealer keep all the cash?

Good luck with your sale.

Good job Falcon. I'll always remember the great job you did on the side by side comparo of HID angel eye bulbs. I got Alpines because of you and never regretted it. Enjoy the M5.
