Or it's really cold outside and you think it's telling you it's 37 degrees but it turns out to be "increased emissions"!!!

On the truck just below the BMW emblem, you should see a space to have your hand hold the trunk, just insert your hand and feel it, the trunk should open...

This is only applicable for someone with Comfort access package..

How do you know if you have the comfort access package? I can open my trunk this way when the car is unlocked and I have a standard key.

I beg to differ. I find the power more than adequate.

There is actually a button in the handle. You barely press is and pops the trunk if the car is already unlocked.

That if you stand over your truck while opening it theres a chance you'll get an uppercut because it opens 100mph

If one has a comfort access, they should be ok to prevent these.. Holding the trunk "opens it" but we have the control of holding it..

Hold it longer than 2 secs. and all heck breaks loose with the alarm sounding off. I have mine coded that first the welcome lights come on (less than 1 sec. press), holding it for 1 to 2 secs. opens trunk, and longer starts emergency alarm. You almost have to practice this.

Lol i hope this does not turns into a mines bigger than yours thread.
For some people a 530i is more than enough, for others they need something more powerful.

BTW, not all 530i are the same. The US version only came with the 228HP - 255HP version.
There are other versions overseas that had the updated N52K with the full 268HP which is not that bad.
