Bad idle/stalling no codes

HAVE A BEAD IDLE WHEN STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR IN REVERSE. DID THE STOMP TEST AND HAS NO CODES STORED. THE COMPUTER KEEPS SAYING CHECK COOLANT LEVEL BUT LEVEL IS FINE, COULD THE COOLANT LEVEL SENSOR BE CAUSING THIS????????

Anyway, no the coolant sensor wouldn't cause this. My bet is the Idle Control Valve. Have you searched the forum at all?

Oh yeah, since this problem has been there I am on here everyday trying to pin point the problem but there aren't any codes. wouldn't it throw a code for that?

Yea it should if the idle is bad enough. I'm not sure for a '95, though (OBD1).

How handy are you with simple tools? You might want to start poking around in there.

I tried cleaning the icv last month and that did't work is there a way to check it before replacing it

Vacuum leak(s). Trace hoses and replace all of them that are spongy or cracked. Check your pleated intake boot for cracks.
