Where to look up whether my car has a CDV?

I just got a 1996 M3 5 speed and thought I read where it does not have a CDV. However I read someones post to remove it on e36 forum as a good M3e36 mod...

The best way to be sure is to check yourself. It's at the end of the fluid line right before the slave cylinder. It's a little lock valve. At this point I would just remove it and connect the two ends back together. Be sure to pinch the hose so you don't lose too much fluid.

OK Thx! So if there, just VGrip (with wood buffers) hose? rest is obvious! Anything betwixt or between hose and cylinder is ****e , and going away! ASAP!
