E30 (1982 - 1993)
God's Chariot. The E30 was produced primarily from 1982 through 1991. The cabriolet was the one exception which was produced through 1993.

318 Exhaust Manifold Stud

Someone gave me an '84 318i as a project car. I've got it running, but there are still some missing parts that I need to replace: Does anyone know what the thread specs are on the exhaust studs? Or have a spare they're willing to part with? (I also need the plastic panel behind the driver's-side headlight that connects to the engine air intake, and the overflow container for the radiator.)
Thanks -
Neil

The studs are 8mm x 1.25 pitch x 40mm long. Pelican parts has them for $1 each, but your local parts house probably has one, too. Pretty common size.

Pelican will have your cooling system expansion tank and the air intake panel. Since you're going to have to order the other pieces, you just as well get the exhaust studs from the same place and save on shipping. I just suggest Pelican because that's who I use 90% of the time.

There are several other OEM parts suppliers that would have the parts you need.

Thanks, guys!
I've been working on an '88 325ic for ten years, now (it's my daily drive), and this is the first time I've heard of Pelican.
Must be hanging out at the wrong forums.
