Irregularity in automatic transmission warring light.

I have a 2003 325xi with 70000 miles on it, once a week I get a light between the gear number and auto or manual light that represents a irregularity in the automatic transmission, it's auto with the slap shift. After the light comes on the car shifts hard, but if I stop, turn vehicle off for a min or so, then restart, the light will be gone and car shifts normally. I've had it happen when in manual and auto, kinda just random when, had it happen after driving for 5 mins, but also after an hour.........anybody have a lil info on this subject....thank u! Any help would be appreciated.

If you would use a scan tool to read the codes stored for your problem(s), you would have much much more to go on then just "something's wrong."

Sounds like your tcc valve is sticking as a "guess". Getting the codes pulled helps to figure out exactly what it is.
