Great dealer experience

A couple of weeks ago I had my 2011 335xi sedan in for routine service at Thompson BMW in Doylestown, PA, where I bought the car and have always taken it to be serviced. A day or so after I got it back I noticed some minor (but expensive to repair, I suspect) damage to the front bumper--it looked liked someone had backed into it with a trailer hitch. Since I have PDC I'm certain I didn't do it myself, yet I couldn't be certain that it hadn't happened under my watch and I just hadn't noticed it.

I mentioned my concern that the damage had happened while at the dealer in their routine service follow-up phone call. Lo and behold, a few days later I got a call from a service manager, sent him a couple of photos of the damage as he requested, and within 36 hours they'd said they would fix the bumper. The work was done last week--they also threw in a an X3 loaner for two days--and was superbly performed.

I'm very impressed with Thompson's response to this problem, especially given the uncertainty of exactly where the damage took place, and believe such extraordinary service deserves a shout out here.
