2007 328i Convertible- Smoke/ Oil leak?

HI..Im new to this site. Purchased a 328 I convertible May 2012 and just hit 60k miles. Yesterday I smelled something burning and smoke started pouring into the cabin from the hood with the windows down. Opened it up to see oil on the right side of the engine dripping down and causing the smoke. No error signals on the computer when I turn the car on. Is this driveable to the dealer? Is this a common problem? Help!

Valve cover gasket toast. If it looks like this then it's gone. It can be driven to the dealer (not aggressively). Keep an eye on the oil level indicator in idrive and expect a few gasket changes while in there.
