AC Issues

So I've never been convinced that the AC is fully auto on BMW's, but that's another topic. Lately I've noticed that this has gotten worse. When the outside temp increases past, say, 73, my AC seems to blow really cold and the fan speed will not decrease, even if I increase the inside temp setting up to 73 or 74. In the past 71 or 72 would reduce fan speed and therefore warm air a bit. Now it's just freezing cold. Any insight to this?
