I installed the Nokyas last night (NOKYA ARCTIC WHITE H8 35W 7000K ).
I'm not nearly as obsessed with the AE's as most people here, but for $23 and 5 minutes of my time I figured what the hell.
Initially left one side stock and one side Nokya.
The Nokya bulb is definitely much less "yellow", and there are no error codes thrown.
However, the stock bulb is NOTICEABLY brighter.
Not sure why, as the wattage is exactly the same.
The Nokyas look better, but almost completely wash out when the headlights are on -or- in the bright sun.
I'm leaving them in for now, but may actually go back to the stock bulbs. Still undecided.

I will take a "washed out" blue, purple, or bright white over the Canary Yellow even IF it's brighter! But that's just me...

Well, the difference is two fold. One contributor is obviously the wattage, higher = brighter. But with the angel eyes, it has more to do with LUMENS. Essentially the color of the light in the spectrum compared to natural light (aka sun light) which is at about 4300k. The reason why the stock bulbs seem brighter is actually because the stock bulbs have a very low lumen count thus making it much yellower and dimmer than sunlight which is why you can tell the difference even in direct sunlight. The Nokyas have a blue tint (7000K) which makes the light look closer to the HIDs but gets washed out in the sun due to lack of WATTAGE or light output. The LED rings on the newer F-series are probably 10 times brighter than the Nokyas and at least 20 watts brighter than any LED replacements (i.e. mtec) out there now. They also have a floating design vs. the built-in look of the earlier generation rings.

Both rings are illuminated by the same bulb.
There is only one AE bulb on each side.

They are both lit by the same bulb- there is not really any way they could be two different colors....
