Coordinates with BMW navagation

Does anyone know if you can enter longitude and latitude coordinates in the BMW navigation system, either manually or by voice? I have a 2012 X5 5.0. I like using coordinates instead of addresses when I can, it dramatically cuts down on me ending up in the wrong place.

According to several different BMW sites... you simply can't.
But, if you go into the Interactive map and move your cursor to the general area that you are looking for, it displays the GPS coordinates.

If you can, enter the GPS in google maps and send to car.

Man..... That sucks.... Ive been using google maps and sending the directions to the car. Once, I was already on the road, and my brother texted me some coordinates and I couldn't figure out how to put them in. Now, I find out that you cant...... I thought this was a PROFESSIONAL navi system.

OT
One thing I really like on smartphones is when I am trying to find someone, I tell them to 'text me your location'...go to maps, hold your finger on the map until 'dropped pin' comes up and hit the right arrow and you can text it to someone....

Something I've learned from previous BMW cars is that in electronics the Japanese win... If BMW would come somewhat close I would be happier

I can send a destination from my laptop to the X5 and it shows up under MyInfo on the iDrive. I cannot do the same from the Google Maps app for iPhone - has someone figured out how to do this or is this not possible? i.e. I cannot find the "send" feature on the Google Maps app for iPhone.

One workaround for this problem is to not use the Google Maps app and instead use iPhone's browser to access http://maps.google.com This is very tedious as the drop down menus etc are very small on a phone's browser and hard to see.

Another option is use the My BMW Remote app for iPhone.

See attached picture for further details. Yes the BMW Remote app gives you the option to "send" the destination to the car like you can from a laptop/desktop.

Of course all of this requires a valid subscription to BMW Assist - new vehicles come with a paid four-year subscription.

I don't have an Android phone, but I suspect Android phones/apps have equivalent features.
