Blue coolant

My nearest BMW dealer is an hour and a half away so going there to get coolant would be a bit of a hassle. And idea of what coolant to use in the X5 or where to find it? Somebody said a Honda dealer would have it and another person also said Peak was blue but I didn't know if that was safe to use. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you checked autozone, pepboyz, advanced auto parts, wal-mart, target? Or order it from getbmwparts.com

Do not mix coolant, worse case use distilled water only as a top off , all supermarkets carry distilled water, again do not mix coolant know matter what the label claims unless you are prepared to flush the entire cooling system, use genuine BMW coolant only.

Agree, agree, agree.

Order it on line if you must, top off with distilled and then drain some later and add the new BMW coolant.

There is no good substitute for BMW coolant. Even the "closest" one, is actually radically different.
