Front Brake Sensor

Does someone have a picture of how your FBS should look installed when doing a front brake DIY? its "L" shaped and I thought the wire would follow that way over the caliper. Well, it broke. Does it go in the other way??

It broke when I tried. When the sensor was placed on the pad connected to the piston, it broke. Im aware that it could only go on one of two ways. I'm asking to see a picture, not a sarcastic answer. I wouldn't bother asking if I knew. The sensor itself has a cable running from the long part of it (L) shape. The part where the cable/cord is coming out runs in which direction? Towards left or the right? I ran mine with the cable to the right threading the wire through the caliper.

When i tried to put the sensor in place in the pad and snap it into the piston, it broke. I went onto YouTube and tried to look around for a video but nobody had a good shot of the sensor. Just a before and after. I know your thinking "Why didn't you follow what you saw when you took it apart?". It was my first time and in between reading, trying not to break anything and looking for the right tools, I wasn't paying attention. **Take note DIYers**

Any non sarcastic advice would be appreciated.

if it is an aftermarket sensor the cable maybe a little shorter than the original. I had one installed...followed a similar route as the old one with a small detour around the upper guide clamp for the sensor...works fine

Front or back, the sensor wire points toward the center of the car.

There are 2 guide holes or clamps for the FRONT brake sensor to follow. The one just above the caliper should be used but the upper needs some modification (I used a twist tie) but only if the sensor is not OEM as the cable is slightly shorter. This has been installed for over 6 months when I switched to ceramic pads and everything works great.

Gentlemen,

Thanks for your advice. The problem has been solved. I told the part back to the dealer and explained what happened. Long story short, I was given the wrong part. Lesson learned, although he/she maybe the parts tech kindly ask them to double check.
