Glove Compartment USB port

Hello, I have a question. I try to update my navi maps via glove compartment USB port.
While this USB port works fine when importing music or car profiles, it does not work for maps updates.
The light on USB memory stick flashes couple of time and nothing happens afterwards.
Any idea?
Thanks

You probably need the CIC/Navigation computer to be software updated by your dealer to support USB updates for the maps. It should work if you use the traditional DVD update method, but not USB at this point.

I had the same problem. You will have two options:
1). Have the dealer update the maps to 2013 and pay USD235 or more
2). Buy the 2012 DVD's for USD17-20, buy a code for USD50 and do it yourself.

I went with option 2, However, when I did the update I found out that the DVD's were actually 2013 updates not 2012! Woo hoo!!

Thanks for sharing the info with me. Can you PM me where to buy the DVD's?
