Are people that much jealous on my E60 or what?

Hi.
Recently bought 2009 528xi beautiful Black Sapphire metallic. The car is perfect and I love it so far but, (yeah) I have notice lately that my driver's door has a two small dents on the middle of the door and I am sure the dents were not there before! I was extremely pissed that day I have checked every door and body very carefully and found nothing more.
There is no any chance that I hit something etc. This dents are from banging door to door at the parking lots!
I decided to park my car away from others at park lots, so today I went to my local Walmart parked my car at the very freakin end (no cars around me at least the moment I parked my car) then when I come back I've noticed another freakin dent on my door again and even a little bigger than the other two!!
Do you guys have a similar problem? I am sick and tired from this piece of sh...t. The car starting to look like crap and who knows what will be in another couple of months..?
I figure people must be jealous and they do that sh...t in purpose??!!!?? I didn't have this kind of problem with my other car before.
I am pissed every day now instead of enjoying my car.

Sometimes parking faraway draws more looks.
What i usually do is to park my car as CLOSE as possible behind a wall or a concrete pillar so people dont dent my car.
When i have to park my car outside i usually look for a parking spot that have enough clearance on both sides.

Anyways, im pretty sure those dents can be taken care easily, as long as it didn't screw up the paint you are fine.

The paint is perfectly fine bro but last dent is pretty noticeable and this pisses me off extremely
Most of the parking lots I park my car have open spaces no pillars no walls. How can somebody be that freakin stupid to hit somebody's car by the shopping cart??!!?? Unfreakinbelievable!! I personally taking care either with my cart or when I am opening my doors to not to hit anybody!!
How can I take care of the dents?

Shopping carts are the enemy. I always park far from the entrance, and on my way in, I will put back any shopping carts I come accross. I can't stand dents. They drive me crazy.

More suggestions to avoid shopping cart damage:
1) Don't park on the lower part of an incline, where the carts would roll
2) Watch the wind, it can blow carts into your car
3) When you see someone starting to leave a cart between cars and it is next to your car, let them know where the cart parking location is. Most will get embarrassed. If you tell someone and they flip you off, move your car and stay with it until they leave the area.

Thank you guys for suggestions. From now I will park my car as far as I can or even on the opposite side of the road park lot etc, walking is healthy isn't it

But I also think the dents I have may be caused by door to door bumping...?
Anyway how can you be so freakin dumb a$$ to hit somebody's car by the shopping cart??? WTF ??!!
I lived all my life in Poland (stupid country somebody may say) but never I said NEVER have experienced this piece of s...t anywhere in my origin country!!

How many of you experienced a similar piece of crap around your hood?

^^ plenty of people in North America are entitled ********* assholes without any common sense or courtesy.

Ever driven on the highway? Look at how many people will drive at or just below the speed limit in the passing lane, with a train of cars behind them for miles, while all of the other lanes are completely free.

Paint less dent repair. Small dents are about $60-$70 to fix. Do a search in your area, I even believe your BMW dealer will quote you a similar price, and they just send it out to a local repair shop to do it.

The cars in North America , for majority of people, are tools to arrive from point A to point B this why most of them don't care about door dents / carts
If you like your car park your car far away from them

Yep, parking is a tactic you will eventually master.

Fortunately for me when I have to park my car for work (the majority of where it gets parked) it a is a multi-level complex and has a "secret" level. I usually get a carpark spot that is next to a wall and a cement pillar (only me), followed by car parks as they usually are.

Also, my apartment has underground secure carparks (this isn't necessarily safe as I've experienced in the past) and the person who is parked next to me is a fellow e60 545i .

However, with the general parking (cinemas, grocery shopping, restaurants) I usually park next to nice cars that aren't TOO far away. Worst comes to worst, I park on a level with nobody left (hence going at quiet times, 7:30pm or later for grocery).

You'll master it eventually with the tips everyone is leaving you!! But a dent sucks nonetheless and I feel for you!!

Any decent body shop can repair most dents without repainting.

If you also see very old people parking car next to yours, i suggest plz change your spot... Nothing against them but when there is heavy wind they find it hard to hold the door when opening or closing causing dents on cars parked next to them..

Especially cities like chicago its a must..

A lot of good parking advise here!!

My car may not be brand new (2000 528it sport) but I love it!

I try to find the spots next to the grassy "islands" or a spot on the end. Minimizes exposure to just one side of the car.

I tend to park far away as well.....I tell the family....if we are gonna walk around the mall/store for hours what's another 500 feet!!

We dont have that much cameras on parking lots around my Town...
As you guys said I will park my car far away from others to prevent this situation again, but the true is you won't hide your car from this that's sucks...

I used to park my Lexus IS anywhere and everywhere with ZERO (!!) dents and I've never had thoughts that somebody may dent my car by the shopping cart.. what the heck...

Now I own the bimmer and I will have to hunt a good space to leave my car - damnnn that sucks...

Same thing happened to mine. I coming from the mall and I noticed my paint was chipped/nicked near the rear door. I was heated to say the least. I notice when driving that others are more reckless around my car. I never really had that problem before with my old car. Maybe I just notice it more because I actually take pride in owning this one. Haha

Some raging A-hole clipped the rear corner of my bumper. Cracked a hole in it and busted the PDC. They just left, no note or nothing. I was having lunch and saw it as I walked over to the car. I had just replaced the front bumper and side skirts.
**** happens, but I think there are jerks in any country. I suspect it was an old person who probably didn't notice.
Ever see the Pink Panther movie where Steve Martin is parking his SmartCar? Very close to the truth out there.
