BMW oil change reset 1.9l

Once I change my oil do I have to get a reset tool to reset the light or can I leave the oil light on for a while? What happens if I don't reset after oil change?

You can leave the oil change interval indicator lights go as long as you want. Most people will want to do 3 to 4 changes before the lights say a change is needed. Or you can reset the indicator system whenever you change the oil.

I was able to just jump hole 7 and 19 with a paper clip so we are good!
