Do you customize your Sport settings?

I've had my car for one year, but I rarely put it in Sport mode, since I find the higher revs of the transmission program to be tiring. However, over the weekend, I reconfigured it to only provide a sporty chassis, leaving the transmission normal. I found this worked wonders for using the car on very smooth freeways and roads. All without having the higher revs. And if I reallly, and rarely, want to push the car, I'll just drop it in Sport+ mode.

Has anyone done likewise? I feel like I'm starting to explore the car a little more, playing with the DTC and drive settings.

Same here. I use the Sport mode w/o drive-train enhancements when I'm in higher traffic areas because I like the way the steering accuracy feels. I rarely ever use comfort mode b/c the throttle response is way too slow for city driving. Sport+ as soon as I have enough open space to put it to use.

Same here on the Sport w/o Transmission settings. I love the heavier steering, makes the car feel much better.

Same here, sport without the transmission settings. I reserve sport + when I want to push it a little. Question, in sport+ mode is traction control automatically turned off?

Not exactly. In Sport+, DSC is automatically disabled. DTC is still on. So it will allow more slip, but will still cut power if over the higher limits.

Chris, I set up my AH the same way. I wish there was an in between comfort and sport drivetrain setting... the sport is just too extreme. I will use Sport chassis only and bump it to DS if I need to make a quick move.

Do you guys notice a big difference in the steering feeling when switching to Sport mode w/o drive-train enhancements. I don't feel any noticeable change in the steering/suspension.

I definitely notice the suspension and steering change. It's noticeable rather than extreme. More than subtle.

The easiest way I've found to notice the difference is to find a stretch of road that is broken up, has a lot of ridges etc. Run it in Comfort+, then as you drive it, switch it to Comfort, then Sport. You should notice it easily then.

Used the same setting for my f12 coupe with regular transmission under Sport Mode. Noticed the stiffer suspension and steering. Now only if the dealer will code to memorize this setting so we won't have to change it every time the car restarts.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought. I didn't think it was a gimmick. I'm bringing the car to the dealer to check why there's no appreciable change in suspension/steering when in sports/chassis mode.

I mostly use Sports +. To be honest sport and sport+ don't really feel much different.
Worst thing is i can't find any tune for my 2011 740i. Dinan don't have it, called many places. They said the ECU for my car is little complicated, even though it's an N54 same as the 335 and 535.
So I added the pedal box for some fun. Similar to Sprintbooster but this has more settings to adjust.

Took the car to DTM, test driver is BMW trained technician also owner of DTM. You will hear his expression. "wow" "wow" "wow" "wow" lol.

For those don't know what that little device does. It will NOT increase your HP or Torque. It will remove the throttle latency completely. Even though u are on Sport + mode, you will still have latency no matter what.
So on the top of that, you added this pedal box to it.

Hey Rajeek, you have one of the best good looking ride and mod ever :-) Gotta check out your LCD Instrument Panel someday.
I broke my right wrist, can't goto the show. May be one day we meet up here in CA. I am in Pasadena.
