Spinal Tap remote

So, I got a remote for the Streak but I heard that the FCC numbers had to match and they do save the unit ends with 10 and the remote with 11. Must be a "Spinal Tap" thingabridged)
Nigel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven...
Marty: Oh, I see. And most amps go to ten?
Nigel: Exactly.
Marty: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it. It's not ten. Eleven. Exactly. It's one louder.
Marty: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten the top number?
Nigel: (pause) These go to eleven.
The remote works so it can go to eleven.
Replaced the hood struts and camshaft positioning sensor yesterday. I read a post where someone said you have to remove the intake to change out the cam sensor....
well, maybe if you were born with non-detachable catcher's mitts. Turned off the check engine light and cruised about 20 miles when the CEL came back on...am I that incompetent?
Checked it when I got to the house and it was the dread "loose gas cap". My Merc does that occasionally to see if I'm paying attention.
OK. Enough. Where was I? Oh yeah...Earth.

What is going on ITT?

Yeah, you definitely don't need to remove the intake manifold to replace the cam position sensor.

You do if you have non-detachable catchers mitts for hands (like I do).

If you do do that, please do not kill him at the end. Murder is wrong.

F&L in the Hinterland

Done my share of drugs...done a few other people's shares as well. Sort of a public service. I'm sure I kept some kids off drugs cause I used em all. Thompson's best is still "F&L On the Campaign Trail". Taking a piss w/Nixon...priceless. Miss him.
The past couple of years I've been passing a house going to and from work. This guy has two e36 M3's and an X5. I wanted to stop by but I sold #19 about three years ago('70 e9 Coupe)and I didn't want to show him my Zippo with the roundel..."Hey, I used to own some of those". Now, I'm back in the game.
His drop-dead wife opened the door and I mean "drop-dead". I was stuttering. John seemed
like a solid guy. The white M3 and the X5 were outside. The black M3 was on jack stands in the garage with a turbo that looked like a prop from a sci-fi flick. John is obviously playing a different game than me.
"So John, what is it you do for a living, if I may ask?"
"I supervise aircraft mechanics at Tampa International"
"Oh, is that like general aviation?"
"No...mainly A320 Airbus and the like with IE engines. 47,000 pounds of thrust".
I'm keeping watch out of the corner of my eye because at this point my mind is circling the block and I want to grab it on the first go round or it'll be doing that for a while. We swapped numbers and I promised to stop by and annoy him from time to time. Gave me a plug for CCA so I'll probably join again.
