Sorry Ken, I had to laugh at that. Bu tno one notices the trunk roundel anyway, only the hood. You'll hardly notice. And BTW Amazon has those for $30 compared to Pelican's $45 if you hadn't seen it. I bought the one for my dad's 528 from Pelican though and it was perfect. Included grommets too.

They do, and quite well. If you are Prime then oil filters for M52 are $4.19 with free two day shipping. They even let you set up a "garage" and will tell when parts do or do not fit your car and it will let you search parts that only your car. They have all kinds of stuff. I like it because I'm a Prime member so it all comes free 2 day shipping.

Search for a generic part, like say an oil filter, then click on one. When it brings up the detail screen you will see above the product a bar that says "We need to make sure this part will fit your car and need more information" look all the way to the right on that bar and you will see "My Garage 0" click there and add all your cars. Your can then switch your searches between them. So if I am looking at oil filter and it fits the BMW, I can switch my car and it will bring up only oil filters for the Trailblazer. It's very well done. Tons of parts too. Not much price differencein the bigger stuff (suspension, etc), but things like oil/air filters and some other things are rock star. They excel with stuff for the Trailblazer.

Genuine BMW badges cost waaaay too much. 2 little plastic discs should not cost $60+. I got all four center cap badges for 12 bucks with shipping off eBay, but that still kind of expensive for what they are.

How long have you had them?

You get what you pay for. I got a cheap replacement and the paint faded quickly. I'll only replace with genuine BMW or equivalent oem from now on.

Same here, and they were supposed to be genuine BMW parts. Dang good fakes, i must say, but they didn't last.

I bought them in December and they still look good.
4 genuine wheel badges from pelican parts costs $65 plus shipping. 4 from eBay costs $12 with shipping. The genuine badges on my car were worn out when I bought it in November 2011, so giving the genuine badges the benefit of the doubt they lasted 12 years. So to make the genuine badges more economical I have to replace the eBay ones more than six times every 12 years or once every two years. I’m sorry but for a part that can break as much as it wants without any other consequences other then needing to replace I’m willing to take those odds.

Re: The official E36 OT Thread!!

That's really cool! I never had a snow day in school, ever. Closest we came to that were a few days off for bomb threats, a little off when teenagers burned down a building, and a week off from college when the wildfires were going crazy, none of which are quite as innocent and enjoyable as I imagine a snow day to be.

Re: The official E36 OT Thread!!

Maybe the wheel roundels are a better choice economically due to there being four. However, my eBay hood roundel started showing fading after one summer. It looks worse now than the teenage roundel it replaced.

The only time I got off of high school was when a freak windstorm devastated pasadena. 2 people died and over $500 million in damage, IIRC. All the trees at my school broke in half and took almost a week to clean it all up.

The official E36 OT Thread!!

Anyone have a recommendation for a good tire site? These are for my Trailblazer though not the 328.

And in a very un manly development, I decided I like Madeline Peyroux's music.
