intermittent AC 2013 Z4 35is

we have 8000 miles on ours and we're getting intermittent AC operation. Somedays the lights light up but the air just comes out at the ambient temperature. Today we can't get any of the air conditioning control work. none of the lights light up on the buttons. I think this is a known issue isn't it?

Re: intermittent AC 2013 Z4 35is

We got the big exclamation-in-a-triangle warning saying the car is out of oil. Had the car towed to the dealer. Dealer said that this is normal - that New Z4's have a tendency to run out of oil during break-in but it's nothing to be worried about.

Is this car a lemon?

Fellow Yellow,

I'm not certain, but it looks like this thread might be of some help:

Run out of oil? No. Burn a quart during break in? Yes. You should get your oil changed after 1200 miles anyway (no, BMW won't pay for this).
