Steering Lock Warning Sign

What does this mean ?

car is still drive'able

is there an easy way to reset this

Or am I fxcked with another service bill ?

Could your steering angle sensor be bad? What could a resolution be?

well I read a lot last night

Option 1. Recharged the battery and started the engine.... warning light still on... as low battery may tricker this

Option 2. Will book the car in to have code reset (car still drive'able)

Option 3. Replacing sensor

Option 4: Get a second hand steering column from wrecker yard

see how it goes

$1,200 for a steering column replacement from the dealer. I had mine replaced twice, first time under warranty around 40k miles. 2nd time around 95k miles.
You can drive for a while until it locks completely up that you cannot start the car and need to have it towed.

problem is delar won't fix this they just throw out and put new one in

I will ask them to give me back my old columns and fix it myslef for later date

the car is only 27,000km... (< 18,000 miles)

Aha. Before you do that, ask for a printout of codes from their GT1, and what exactly they found bad.
