After thinking of some of the things that I said/did when I was younger, I'm glad that we didn't have cell phones with cameras, or internet!

Funniest response, I've ever seen. Also best opening question.

Reminds me a little of the guy who wanted to buy a 328i, then tune it, then sell it to grab a van for his family.

Hilarious.

It might be important that they know what IQ means too. Unforetunately, a teenager can have an IQ of 180 but still be a stupid git (Monty Python phrase).

I feel like this is a case of English as a second language rather than of poor IQ.

I have an IQ of 160 yet have the common sense of a 3-year old. I can not go more than 1 mile from my house without a navigation system.

Try formulating a reasonably complex message in Google Translate from English to even one of the relatively simple Romanic languages like Spanish and then send that message to a bunch of people who have only ever learned to read and speak Spanish.

They'll probably think you either have developmental issues or, worse still, are an American.

I learned fluent Spanish for when I visit most Latin American countries. The question is not whether the OP is not fluent in English, but rather the absurdity of the question.

I just googled 2008 335i vs dodge charger srt8 and got an answer.

Yes, you would like to know that.

I assume that you meant to type "transmutton", referring to a sheep which has had gender reassignment surgery. But since a sheep cannot legally drive, I don't think it has a chance against the mighty SRT8.

What other cars can this bmw beat include the Ford Probe, Diahatsu Charade, the mighty Citroen CV-2, and some other cars.

I understand the concern. After all, many races are decided not by horsepower, but by the quality of the interior.

I want to be sure that I understand you correctly. Your ex-girlfriend is a man, and he has a friend who is a Dodge Charger.

You need a fast car with a good looking..?

I give up. I'm trying to make light of this post, but it's just too painful to try to decipher what you wrote. What did you do, put a dictionary in a blender and then post the results online? I would have replied to you sooner, but the first time I read this, I called 911 because I thought I was having a stroke.

Yes, the 335i is fast. It might even beat a Charger. But if you can afford one, I suggest that you instead use the money for some remedial English classes.

Frederic

I've corresponded with plenty of ESL posters. They make mistakes, but because they know that they don't speak the language well, they put extra effort into things like punctuation and sentence structure. And they keep the sentences short in order to make things easy on themselves and their readers.

Word salad of the sort that the OP posted is almost always the product of a native English speaker who cut too many classes in school.

There was a chance that the post was typed into a translation engine in the OP's native language and it spit our a poor translation which he then cut and pasted. I'd cut him a lot of slack in that case, having been there myself when communicating in Polish or Japanese or Chinese.
Due to the misspellings and punctuation errors I think that that is unlikely.

I propose that an automotive discussion be arranged between blanco93 and KillaB.

Suggested topics should include:

1. aforementioned 335 vs. dodge charger str8 comparo.
2. how to trade a 328 for an M3.
3. The cost of a transmission.
4. 328 body kit.
5. Difference between paddle shifters and using the stick.
5. Last but not least, how to make BMW louder.

BJ can moderate.

This should be a televised PPV event with all proceeds going to hiring additional moderators to screen out such nonsense.
Then again, we need some level of entertainment around here.

Only if the interior is good per the original statement.

You forgot the part about trading in your brand new 2012 328i for a van because of your family's needs, all within the scope of the first 5 points.

I would agree if it weren't for a few things including, as others mentioned, punctuation which a translator program would have picked up and additionally, the use of "rednecks"

¿Qué es el OP tratando de decir? No entiendo . Esto está causando un problema muy grande, así una barrera del idioma. Si usted está escribiendo esto en un traductor ahora mismo, no hará ningún sentido cuando leerlo otra vez.

I have tears streaming down my face from laughing at this thread. Reminds me why I love Bimmerfest so much - mostly for these two reasons:

1. The insightful, intelligent advice offered by many experienced and dedicated enthusiasts, and
2. The other end of the spectrum, which demonstrates and affirms that the two most common elements in the world are hydrogen, and stupidity.

What is the OP trying to say? I don't understand. This is causing a huge problem, so a language barrier. If you are writing this in a translator right now, it won't any sense when you read it again.

Wow, that translator did a pretty good job....

And DSX, for you information, Sirrah, the Jag F-Type would be about a hundred large, out the door.
That's 2.5 double-wides.

Here it is from the Google Translator engine:

What is the OP trying to say? I do not understand. This is causing a big problem and is a language barrier. If you are a translator writing this right now, do not make any sense when you read it again.
If you want to check the accuracy of a translator try this. First enter your copy in English and get the translation in the language you want. Then cut the translation, paste it into the translate side and translate it back into English. You can get some shocking surprises. These engines need further refinement, that's for sure. Humans understand context and instantly make the mental adjustment to discern meaning. The robots can't do that yet.

I didn't buy a double-wide damnit! I bought a wooden house with a concrete foundation, not axles and wheels! It was 1973 and things cost a lot less back then. Guess how much my college tuition including room and board was? $1700 a semester! Guess how much my student loan payment was? $9.55 a month! I was making $7900 a year (wohoooo, I'm in the money!) when I bought my first house (1971, in central Jersey). Things were different then! Sheesh.
