Does any one know what coolant I can use because I am about to replace the thermostat and I want to refill the system...

- Coolant: Coolant, for engine, automatic transmission, power steering, and AC evaporator cooling (1) & bleeding (1) (2) (3) or refilling DIYs (1)

BMW coolant is safest bet and only stuff I put in my car. Zerex G05 is supposed to be compatible but AutoZone does not have it. I think Napa does.

Use BMW coolant from the dealership. It has different properties than "traditional" coolant and is formulated specifically for BMW. It's a little more expensive, but you don't need a lot of it and you don't have to buy it very often. Be sure you mix it with DISTILLED water, not everyday tap water.
