E82 / E87 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by a naturaly aspirated inline 6 in the 128 or the turbo twin power inline 6 rocket sled 135.

They've replaced e-thing.....

I'm the one that posted "have you experienced this" thread. Basically I have a problem (which several others have said they have as well) with the car when coming to a stop or say a drive thru, once my foot is off the break the rpms go anywhere from 1100-2500 and at times the car lunges forward. Most of the time when the lunging happens, my foot is on the brake or just about to be on the brake.
BTW I have a 2012 136cic with N55 dct

So here is what by dealer has done. They have spoken to engineers BMWNA and one has come down to SA...don't know if it was because of my car that he is here.
replaced intake plenum and gasket
replaced ALL 6 injectors -- serv engine light came on
replaced air mass flow sensor
replaced coil and spark plug (don't know how many)
and now they are talking about changing DME

My question is...what kind of car will I have when they are done?? Should I ask for extended warranty?? Will my car, assuming the problem is fixed, be a better car or worse?? Its just not factory anymore. Should I trade it in on something else??
thanks for any replies!
