Aluminum Fabricated Intake Hmm...

I was on ebay the other day just looking for a simple part when I came across this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E36-325i...4181b6&vxp=mtr

It actually looks well built from the pictures but judging from the angle at which the throttle body mounts is different from factory. You probably wouldnt get a massive gain out of this but im sure throttle response would increase I would imagine.

Any thoughts guys? Worth it?

True... But some of the Toyota Supra guys have been using these KS Racing intakes and none of them have any complaints from quality or performance. So...

The amount of weight it will add will cancel out any performance gain.

So swapping a M54 manifold with a M50 manifold will increase throttle response?

For the i6 you gain more highend pull than low end when switching to the m50 manifold

The m50 manifold swap works on the m52/s52, but not on the m52tu or m54.

Before you do anything, replace the VANOS seals. This will restore low-RPM engine response.

Ya I have the M54 so no go on the M50 swap But my Vanos seals are replaced but I was just curious if this intake would be worth it. Im sure it would look cool. But maybe thats about it.

You just cant do much to these cars performance wise to see any noticable gains unless you s/c or turbo them and at that point it would be cheaper to buy a 540. These engines come tuned from the factory just about as well as they can be
