M5 or Alpina B7?

After not having my 7 for a month (lease transfer) and spending a painful month with a Jaguar XFR (lemon) I am faced with a very difficult decision: M5 or B7. My dealer has both and they are roughly the same to lease. The B7 is SWB, white, and is not fully loaded. The M5 is moonstone and is pretty much fully loaded with B&O, exec package and driver assist.
HELP! Want to decide by tomorrow. I have driven both and like both of them.

I just got the fully loaded M5, it's $30k less than the Alpina

The Alpina was nice but I have decided for now that a 7 is just too big to drive around. Even though I drive my wife's X5, the 7 is too big for daily use for me. The F10 M5 is bigger than my E60 but very much worth it. The luxury of the interior with Full Leather and dark wood trim is really all you could ask in a luxury car so you are getting luxury with high performance. I think the M5 styling is great. I also don't think at this point I want to spend more than I did for the M5 on a car and that is where you are at with the Alpina. Course I bought and wrote a check, no lease for me so it might be less painful initially to lease. Just make sure the M5 has FULL LEATHER, not extended.

Good choice, that is pretty much the same package as my car. It's beautiful. Did you get a good discount off the MSRP? Mine was $112k because the color is $1900 otherwise, same options package.

About 9k off…. I think I did pretty good. Have you gotten more off? There are folks here who say they got over 10K off, but this is all I managed to do. I was also shopping for an S6 which leased horridly and a 991 S which also didn't lease well. A car that leases well right now is a 650 GC but it's no M5.

I got about the same off as you did. I thought I had gotten more but I went back and looked at my invoice sheet and what they put down for the price (after you get done arguing with them). I got about $9500 knocked off, still a good deal I think and percentage about the same as you since mine was about $2k higher on MSRP. Another guy on the M5 forum said he got $2k under invoice which would be more than we got. I think that would be about $14k off the way our cars are equipped.

I find it hard to believe he got 14K off unless the car had some special rebate or trunk $ or he had some special BMW credit etc. I was offered 10K off on a manual and turned it down. The car is absolutely spectacular.

I was going to look at a manual at Midtown BMW in white which is my preferred color. I figured to get a good discount on it, better than I got on this car. I did apparently miss out on a white one at Momentum Southwest on the Southwest Frwy that was White with full leather. That car had everything that mine does without the extra charge for the special color. That having been said, I have driven a white car for about 15 years now and it's time for a change. The color of my car is really nice, it's different and everyone that has seen it likes it. I think it's like a chameleon. At night it looks very silver and during the day, it has a green hue to the silver.
