E34 brake light priblems fuse 1

I will put a new fuse #1 in and I can drive around use the brakes all I want but if I come to a complete stop it will blow the fuse. If I slow down with the brakes and use the e brake to completely stop it doesn't blow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Are you using the proper fuse rated for the brake lights.

I've tried every fuse there is. Could it be a break wear sensor or my abs relay?

Mein Auto: What they Drive
You have a short somewhere.

Check the common ground on the rear left passenger bulkhead below the rear bench cushion (not under it but on the outside of that compartment under the carpet.)
If those brown lines have a bit of green on them clean them up and resecure to the bulkhead.

Remove and replace all the bulbs, maybe you will find something in there that shouldn't be there.

After you have ruled out a short in the bulbs or wiring, start looking at the brake light switch.
