New toy in the garage!

I haven't planned this I swear.
My dealership has made me an offer on this beautiful 2012 M3 with complete M-Performance package (body, exhaust, wheels, etc) that was used as an M-performance demo vehicle only and had only 4k miles on it, and I just couldn't refuse! It's those spontaneous things in life that make us happy I guess.

Picked up and brought her home end of last week. The ride is absolutely amazing. I just can't believe how much of a fun car it is. Also never thought that at my age I'd giggle like a schoolgirl when driving a car The sound is as sexy as it gets.

few pics:

Also, recently I sold my e60 and the e38.

New toy in the garage!

Congrats on your new car!

Nice to have the Autobahn nearby to actually take advantage of your toy's capabilities

That said, I see that your license plates are rather similar. Looks like you can now pick your number? or at least select from an available pool of numbers?

Btw, love Hamburg; used to be there on business all the time...

Since a new car lease is not an option for me - I like to own my cars - and I couldn't (well actually didn't even plan to) buy a brand new car, I figured I'd take a perfectly-maintained nurbnburgring-bred m3 that's been driven either by an M instructor or under his supervision, over a preowned car that's been pushed to the limits by some wanna-be schumacher anyday.
And it's only 4k miles.

Exactly - I honestly can't imagine driving these cars somewhere where there's always a speed limit.

Yes you can kind of pick the license plate number (obviously after the mandatory city part which is the first two letters) from the available pool. Since my cars have always had something with 9's and 0's I always try to get a similar combo. Ideally I wanted an "M" instead of an "I" but every possible nice combination with "M" was taken. Bleh.
I don't know since when exactly it's possible, been like that since I'm in Germany which is about 10 years.
Hamburg is great , very industrial which is the way I like it. The only problem is it rains 80% of the time : D

New toy in the garage!

Gorgeous cars, for some reason I just love the 252 wheels on black/dark cars. I didn't care for them on my '12 white one though.

Nice toy, hopefully that thing being NA will last a lot longer than a F/I engine. Glad you got a deal!

Both sides of my lineage comes from Germany, mother from Sachsen, father from Bayern. I love the States, born and raised here but Id love to have a residence over there one day. Just gorgeous.

Very nice! Great choice on the V8 M3. The white looks great with the carbon fiber roof and black accents. Congratulations.

Congrats! She's beautiful. Enjoy her in the best of health!

My 2 cents: Not a big fan of the decal stripes. If you want graphics, on an M3, I would go with the motorsport colored checkers on the front.

For some reason I don't think those on the M3 board have as much admiration for our 7's... :P

Maybe we have more distinct taste - that not only do we like their E9x M3 but our beloved F01s

Different class of people, and not everyone can afford to drive a 7, let's be real here. Most young kids can't afford a car, let alone a BMW, so when they get their 3, it's awesome. The 7 is reserved for the top 1%, and some have no idea.

Alternatively, the 3 is a damn nice car, very easy to maintain and a joy to drive, I have both and cant' figure out which one to keep, so for now I am keeping both.

If I can get my hands on a 4 door M3, it would be HOT. They are naturally aspired, so no turbo issues to worry about.

Thing about decals...Was gonna remove em first thing, then gave it another thought, and well, I can remove them anytime, basically no rush.
There are quite a bit of m3's (or just 335i's) driving aorund here with the black-on-white setup, and this baby stands out because of the decals (and sound!)
