I will post pics soon! the frozen blue car is cool, not really my thing. it may get old after a while. my ride home was heaven. we went over the car for about 40 min. finding out about the Nav system, and all the techno stuff.

we never went over the most important button of all. The M button. WOW. I drove home in normal mode and thought it was fun. but the M button amps up the fun even more!!!!

I hope your car is on it's way.....

john

pics to come soon.

Congrats on finally taking delivery of your new M3!

By all indications, my car is still at the port. I hope (pray) that it is just a simple case of the system lagging behind....but at this point, I feel that it is still there. If so, this would push delivery to mid June (at best). I am waiting until tomorrow before going on a emotional rant.

did both of you have dealer installed parts such as spoilers and exhaust put on prior to you taking delivery? could the cars be waiting for these parts? the delay makes no sense. mine was only at the port for a few days. again not to rub salt in the would but nhman was there before I was.

That's installed state-side. Car is currently still in Bremerhaven, Germany waiting for a ship.

I can understand mine being held up since I'm coming off of European Delivery. There's no excuse for what's happening to nhman.

Yeah, really hope nhman's car already on its way to him. What a logistics nightmare to have a sold car at the port of exit for over a month.

I will agree that slow drivers in the left lane, jaywalking, etc. are frustrating... but woman drivers?! There are some bad woman drivers just like there are bad man drivers. I don't think gender decides whether you are a good driver or not.

Confirmed today from BMW, it's still at the port. Accordingly, it will be loaded onto the next vessel which departs on 5/22. Who knows if this is true....as of today, 32 days at the port.

Wacky... no consolation for you, but I'm still at port as well.

Perhaps we'll be on the same vessel. If mine is still at the port after Wednesday, I have decided to move on and will not take delivery. Perhaps this is the emotional side of me talking but perhaps it's not meant to be.

The car is so worth it... even for all the crap you're going through. I wouldn't give up so easy. Keep on fighting!

We my dealer originally stated that BMW would pay for an accessory, I had requested the rear carbon fiber spoiler. This was approved. Perhaps they can switch it to the exhaust. I am open to any advice/experiences.

I'm not familiar with how to check (if it has been booked). I did speak with my CA today. The vehicle status still indicated at the port.

I did look at the WWL website under track-n-trace, no records were found. Not sure if this is only updated once the vessel departs.

Yeah I'm just going through the tracking system. It shows as booked 5/8, and received at terminal 5/20 for departure 5/22.

Hopefully it is not a bad sign for me but no record for my VIN.

Your dealer can absolutely confirm for you. Ask your sales person to verify and let you know or go there and ask them to check and show you on their screen.

I did speak with my CA and he stated they don't have the ability to confirm whether a vehicle is booked to a vessel. Further the information available is only once the vessel has departed. The sales mgr who I have been working with was out of the office. Perhaps those that have experience in this area can "shed some light" on this topic. Otherwise I'll wait until Thursday for a confirmation.

I am sorry, I thought your M3 had already left on a vessel. Once it does, they can confirm that for you and confirm the vessel name. Once you have the vessel name you can track in "on-the-water" except for the most northern passage area on line. They will also know when it arrives at the port in New Jersey. Here are a few links: http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/ http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/

Be patient, it's worth the wait!!

By the way, you can check this web cam to see if the ship has left the port yet. http://www.blg.de/en/blg-logistics/service/webcams/
