Tires for 17" BBS RKs on e30 M3

Hello everyone, I just purchased an '88 e30 M3. The tires are shot and it is currently riding on 17" BBS RKs. Should I get 225/45s or 215/45s? I have the stock basketweaves too but want some new tread on the 17s. Will 225s rub? Thanks!

What is the offset of the RKs?

Are you on stock suspension?

These comments pertain to the front axle.
The 225 45 17 tyre will trash the fender liners and remove the paint from the front bulk head at both front wheel wells. The speedometer will read conservative(real speed will be faster than indicated).
This tyre also has a larger diameter than a 235 40 17 which will rub at full lock... So if you have a pristine specimen use the smaller 17".

I use the 235 40 17 on my rust edition.
