Thinking of Switching over to M5

It has been a while since I have been in here. I was on the fence about 5 years back deciding between a sedan (M5 or E63) and a 911. I decided to go with the 911. I only drive it once a week at most and keep it in museum peice condition. Paying all that money and not driving it is starting to wear on me. I'm thinking of switching to a more practical sedan that still keeps me excited and M5 has always been my favorite. Anyone been in a similar boat? Also any thoughts on the new E63 AMG with all wheel drive?

M5 commercial here

I drive my M5 as my regular car. I enjoy it more than I did my 2010 535i. It's a great car. A superb combination of luxury and performance. It also handles well on the curvy roads here in Austin. I love whipping it around the curves on 2222. I will get it out on the back roads soon enough and have some real fun with it.

I have never bought a car just to look at it so I don't understand people who do. However, if you want to enjoy driving a car, the M5 is a good choice. The only drawback is the gas consumption but I can afford it and I don't commute, I am retired.

If you expect it to be a nimble as the 911, you'll be disappointed. It's a big heavy capable car. I daily drive mine in the summer and enjoy every mile!

All out sports driving / track days is better enjoyed with a lighter car IMO.
