Just noticed this thread, and found my 1997 1.9 also had this. I think it probably means that the car's harness has a receptacle for the hardtop's rear window defroster.

This russian site is amazing! I just got an email this morning from BMWUSA that the production video for my X3 is ready, found VIN of my car in the video, and just tried if the site can find my VIN and voila! It got every detail of my car right.

It must be retrieving information from source database. The production date of my car is only 7 days earlier than today.

Great website, thanks for Sharing. I found my car Prod.date was 2013-05-22 and all specs are accurate!

Where are you finding an M sport package for the 320i? The only one shown listed is a sport package...

Hi amancuso:

The actual name is sport package, but includes M Sport suspension , M steering wheel, top speed increased, etc.

The site doesn't work for me. All I get is "Unfortunately, the search returned no results."

EDIT: I must have not applied the correct numbers. It did come up and told me all I needed to know.

Make sure you're only giving it the last 7 digits, i.e. LL93707.

Telematics is an electronic method of data transfer to your radio. Could be traffic or other such data.
This is not done in the US.

Telematics is BMW Assist, at least in the USA. Part of the Premium package here. Could be called something else elsewhere.

I can't get this to decode my vin, at all, I've even had a few people at work try to decode it, with no avail

This is an ///M, but I wouldn't think that would matter..?

It does not ask me to sign up, I just put in part of my VIN, and it's in English.
