Factory order configuration error - help!

I am currently working with my CA to place a factory order for a 2014 535i GT. He tells me that when he selects the M Line (ZMM) in conjunction with Driver Assistance Plus (ZDB), he gets an error that the car cannot include Side and Top View Cameras (5DL). I told him to switch from ZMM to the Luxury Line (ZDB) and the error went away. But I would still prefer the M line! Has anyone else run across this?

Correction luxury line is ZLL. But then again you geeks probably already know that. Thanks for looking at this.

Are the exterior mirrors and front fenders different on the M verses the 'normal' versions? The addition of top view puts cameras in the front fenders and underneath the mirrors. If those differ from the normal version, they may not have made provisions for those cameras to mount in the M hardware.

My CA explained that it has something to do with the bumpers. You can't have a car with both ZMM and ZDB.

How is that you can place an order? My CA says it can't be done for two weeks.

Not sure how it all works. We have the pricing lists and we've been working from those.

The ordering guide doesnt show any compatibility issues with ZDB or 5DL. It could be a problem with their online configurator setup. Hopefully he's calling BMWNA to confirm.

Yes you can place orders for GT's. I ordered mine last week and have a confirmed delivery date.

I was able to order top/side cameras with M-Sport

According to the CA, my local dealer's IT systems do not allow orders to be entered other than basic black and white models for dealer stock so they can't take an order.

My 2014 535i order has been placed as well, using one of the Dealers July allocation slots. There was no problem adding top/side camera to the M-Sport.

Aha...that's the difference. The first production is to fill the dealer's inventory. THen, individual orders are allowed into the system. If the dealer hadn't finished ordering his first allocation, and was willing to tailor one for you, it's not quite the same as a full custom order. In fact, there are some options that the dealer cannot order unless it is specifically earmarked and originated as a customer order verses a dealer's order.
