E82 1M Coupe (2011 - 2012)
In many ways the spiritual successor to the E30 M3. Powered by a M derivitive of the N54 the inline six makes 340hp and giving the 1M a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds.

Try 60k. Kind of outrageous. There was an orange one for sale in NJ I think

I wonder what's it's story. Could be salvage. If it really is $35k, I think I'd be jumping on it. I did consider getting a salvage but properly repaired 1M recently as a track toy. Still considering it, I suppose...

I hear there is a new rendition of the 1M in the works, how true is that rumor?

Yup, eventually, the upcoming 2-Series will feature an M2. That'll be the replacement for the 1M.

Do you mean M235?

It would not be exact replacement of 1M as it does not have different body, suspension, brakes or LSD comparing to standard 235.
M235 is more like current 135is replacement.

No. I mean an M2, for real. That's the rumor, anyway. A proper replacement for the 1M.

And yes, the M235i == 135is to me.

$35,000 is very low and would fetch a car either high mileage or with a long repair history.

the OP said 35k - not $35k - and their location being "preston" with what looks like a UK cell phone - I think they mean £35k (GBP) not $35k (USD) - they're currently going for about 38-41k GBP

Nope, because I remember someone posting a link to an orange 1M that was for sale in Florida for $35K.

*edit*

But yeah, OP definitely meant 35K in British pounds. However, I've seen some 1ms going for less than 40K USD.

(Salvage titles, probably.)

Saw a White 1M being unloaded off the trailer at Costa Mesa, CA Carmax today. Checked the Carmax website and it's not there yet. I loves those cars, I'm just a rather large human and could not possible fit. If anyone is interested I would look into that. It looked super clean from 10 feet away, that's all I know.

I'm not sure you will ever find a 1M for $35K unless it's a salvage car. Carmax has had three cars so far for $60K Plus. They paid a friend of mine in CA $54K for his car, selling for $62K.. I know of at least 5 Salvage cars out there as well.

Yes the M2 will be the replacement car for the 1M however it will be a several year unlimited production where the 1M will remain a 1 year car and one of the lowest production imports BMW has ever brought to the US.
