F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

M235i uncovered pics!

I guess it's an improvement on the M135i, but still a bit awkward looking, imo.

I don't see anything awkward looking about that car. It's one of the best looking new BMWs ever. I love that the headlights do NOT touch the grill like the new 3 series sedan. And the hood looks so much better than the 3 series too. The size looks to be very similar to the e46 coupe which makes it just perfect! I can't wait to see this in the flesh and especially see the convertible version. VERY excited for the new 2 series!!

Also, the accent line from the front fender to the taillight is VERY nice!

It looks like it has a higher belt line than an E46 or E82, and a higher rear end. That's a common trend among modern cars, and one thing I really don't like as the net result is smaller windows and a restricted view.

Hard to say precisely, but my gut impression is that this vehicle is 2"-3" longer than the current 1er coupe, which would indeed bring it within in an inch or two of the e46 coupe. Maybe it just seems longer than the 1er because it lacks that vehicle's 'stubbiness'? Will be interesting to see the full specs on this car.

Looks great, though. One of the best looking BMWs in years...

How do we know that this is the M235i and not just 2-series with M-sport?

That would be fine with me. The 4 series coupe looks huge. The 2 series will be just right.....the size of the e46 coupe, which was perfection.

Looks nice. Not very fond of the small windows though.
