I was so disappointed I didn't get a call from you flipping out.

For what it's worth, there's enough of an incline there that it was a royal pain in the ass for a dude missing a half liter of blood to push that far at midnight. I was pretty pleased with myself for getting it over there without collapsing.

Maybe if I have Chad refinish the wheels, he can get them done in actual gold plate.

i would figure under the edit function if it was a thread that you started...

had a good breakfast with the fam and a friend.

and sil.

no, ok....i'll behave....

blueberry pancakes. yum. simple. mfs df went shopping with the rest of the clan while my friend and i chatted and discussed all sorts of guy stuffs. proofed some thoughts i penned and gave me some editorial advice.

not a writer by any means, but i do dabble somewhat with prose as i enjoy words, wordplay and such. tomorrow is a poetry event downtown, too. might go to that. for a little bit, maybe.

not sure yet. i've gone a few times before and my ears have bled from the experience...

other times it was rather enjoyable. it's a crapshoot at best.

ahhhh,...the arts....

I haven't decided if I want breakfast today. I guess I better decide soon.

Jon, you have to go into advanced edit to change the title.

I made a pot of coffee so I'm not going to Chad's for random car and house related stuff. I think I'll work on my bike instead. I intended to get up early and go for a ride, but when 6:30 came around, I hit perma-snooze. I guess I needed the rest.

I did too. I was just getting out of the shower when James rolled up. Totally hit a wall with tiredness this week.

You're not missing out on any real work, we're currently in Stockton hunting down a Pitman arm for the clown truck since the new one was miscut.

back from grad party, had a good time. relaxed. needed that.

i also forgot to tell you guys that i discovered an exam that the state uses to more or less 'qualify' potential parents. apparently i did *not* pass this initial exam...

when i looked further into it, it appears the only qualification necessary to be a parent (as a male), the only thing i need is a viable sperm count...go figure...

other than that, i'm golden.

... you don't have a viable sperm count?

Why would you share that with us if it were true...?

meh...whatever. have had this conversation with so many people over the years that it's just one of those things. it was sorta just relegated to the past, but with recent events it's become a point of great irony.

i mean, what else is needed to be a father?? obviously the ability to care for and nurture isn't very high on the scale or else the father of sil baby wouldn't have several kids by different women and *still* not be paying for child support.

pisses me off, really.

so now i have a sil who is incapable of rearing a responsible, productive adult because she, herself, is not one. yet somehow she belives this guy is going to marry her.

really?? (well, it'll get her out of my house at least) she herself needs to be put into some sort of halfway house for incapable adults so she can learn to be able to take care of herself. i blame mil for that circumstance. she faught every step of the way when it came to mrs df & i trying to get sil some help while she was still in school, then agian in high school, and once more when graduating. shot down every time.

there's so much more to this drama, and i could probably fill ot with hundreds of pages of it (but i like yous guys too much to do that to you...), but i know this would be neither the timenor place for such things. let's just say, though, that i have the necessary people on speed dial....and the proper people in charge have been notified of circumstances and how quickly they could change given how certain events may play out.

so yeah, it was an odd thing to say, but it is true. the only qualification to be a father is viable sperm. however, parenting is an entirely different set of requirements.

i'll rant about that later.

maybe.

i'll let you guys recover now......

back to your regularly scheduled ot in 3,...2,..

Long day. Arrived home from NJ just before the Bruins won the game in OT. Yeah.

On the fence about the NJ stove...it has a good amount of surface rust...but mostly on the chromed parts. Now I hafta figure out if I want to spend the money and if so, how much....Need to talk to a restoration specialist on Monday to get a sense on rechroming prices.
