Yeah, I think I've checked my inbox only about 20 times in the last three hours...

Hopefully we will all get some good email from BMW soon.

Don't forget to check your spam box as well. My registration confirmation email ended up in my spam box after the event.

I got the code 2 business days later, so I'd guess you'd receive yours on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mine was on Thrusday 30th.
It seems that once again the webservices of BMW are not 100% reliable, some people never got a confirmation for the event booking, I got mine 2 or 3 days before the event, some got it after the event.
Now it seems that some people are getting the code almost immediately while some others are having longer waiting times.

I recomment you call the number provided in this thread if you don't get it after a week.

For those of you who haven't received your rebate code 72 hrs after the event, I suggest you to give BMW a call at the phone number posted earlier in this thread.

I attended the event on Saturday, and still have not receive the rebate code in the email. I gave them a call, and was told my reservation was cancelled for some strange reasons, even though I checked in and completed the post-event survey.

Now they are looking into it and will contact me back.

Wow, I hope they can sort it out quickly. Good Luck

Went to the event at Center BMW in the San Fernando Valley. First off, go early -- they've good decent food -- and there can be a wait for the in-demand cars.

Drove a 535i M-sport. Until today, I wasn't liking the new 5s too much, but this car was darn nice. Had the M-sport suspension, ventilated seats, really nice setup. Real quality piece but quite large.

Also drove a Luxury non-sport 328i. I was taken aback by the apparent cheapness and quality of the car compared to the E90. Difficult to see how this car can hit the upper 40s in cost. Motor, though was quite okay.

My thoughts:

The price delta between a 3 series and an equivalently equipped 5 series is roughly $10k. With the current generation of cars, the $10k is justified. The quality in the 5 is that much better. This wasn't necessarily the case 7 years ago when I bought my car. The E60 wasn't necessarily $10k better than the equivalent E90.

I was in FL on business so shot over to BMW Ocala for test drive. I was trying to get the code and new car before July 1 to take max advantage of the pull ahead and other incentives.

I test drove a 640 Gran Coupe which was, um, very nice and an X1 which was extremely tossable. It was all a street run so you had to be careful. I was able to get the 640 to drift a wee bit on a tight turn but same turn, same speed in the x1 didn't do it.

People there were great. There's a whole team that does the ultimate drive that goes from dealer to dealer driving all the cars all the way. Nice gig.

Went to the event today and it was pretty well put together. Drove a Sports Line 328i, and the wife drove an X3. Staff was friendly, not pushy in the least bit and seemed to genuinely care how well the event was going.

I arrived to the event and was signed up and in the drivers seat of the 3-series in ~5 minutes. Got a nifty travel mug to boot!

I went last Friday... it was pretty amazing! I got there a few minutes early and got to take out the CLS 550 first. Then I got to drive the loaded 640i M sport. This was my favorite car of the day for sure. I finished up with a GLK350 and the X3 28i. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

It's absolutely worth it if you can go!

Went last week. What a freakin' waste of time. The only cars they had to drive were cars you could walk in and drive any day of the week; what's the point of that? Plus, not really any competitors cars except luxo barges. Fail.

Told them to send my certificate and went and had a nice lunch instead.

Did you expect to find a preproduction prototype and some German execs standing by with Bratwurst and beer?

The point of the exercise is to drive a BMW (or another make) without a salesman breathing down you neck. I was at the Van Nuys drive event and they had a fully tricked out 535i M Sport, a Gran Coupe and a few other interesting cars.

No, but I fail to see the point of only bringing cars you can normally find on the lot on any day. Why not bring some cars with Performance Kits on them, or one or all of the Active Hybrids? Those are cars you don't see on the lots normally and would be a great opportunity to drive.

The 535i they had in Van Nuys was pretty decked out with Performance parts. It's also not every day that you can drive a Panamera or a Gran Coupe with such ease.
