Angry 97 M3 Flipped on driver's side doors/no start

Hello. I am new here. Although I have been searching almost every thread for the last week and can't seem to find the answer. I have a '97 M3 AT sedan. 155k. My fiance took it the other day in the rain, spun out taking off from a stop sign at like 30mph, and dumped it over on the drivers side doors. NO damage whatsoever to the car besides the wheels packed with grass and dirt.

The car sat on its side for approx 30 mins. I pulled it over very slowly with my truck, it fell down to the tires from about 2 ft high +/-. I hit the key and it fired right up. Shut it off.

Then it sat for about another 20 mins until all the emergency personnel left. Got in it, hit the key, and now all it does it crank and cough and choke once in awhile. Fuel pump runs, no pressure at the rail cap.

Runs on starting fluid.

No new codes.

Ive turned wrenches for over 15 years. I do know my way around. But this is totally blowing my mind.

Any help would be outrageously appreciated! Thank you in advance!

You seem to have diagnosed it quite well already. No fuel!

Start checking out the fuel delivery components from the fuel rail back to the tank. From your description, I'd check the fuel filters and the fuel pump.

Good luck!

Is it possible for the pump to break off in the tank at all? It seems to be the only thing I can think of. It runs, i just get no fuel. New filter, checked lines, etc. Im just dreading pulling the tank for no reason. Guess it's out to the garage I go.

Thank you for the reply!

It might be? My first thought is the lines or filter were damaged. Might as well open the tank up and look.
