F25 Coding Spread Sheet... need help

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...VRkcTNFTE9MS3c

Here is an updated Coding Sheet I am working on. It includes things I have tested, found online, and would like to see.

If anyone is interested in helping to make a master updated sheet. Please let me know of any errors or additions

I like the idea of an updated list now that I've coded the original confirmed items.

List up to date?

Hi Guys,

Is this the official list for the F25 (most updated) or is anyone aware of a different one? I just started coding my X3, everything on the list has been working, but interested in other features.

Thank you

Naive question - how do you code F25.....can this be done at home and what is needed.

And, more importantly, does it void your warranty?

Not naive, at all! I have no idea how to do it either but am expecting to figure it out pretty quick once I take delivery

I tried coding my seat belt reminder to turn off and that was not a good thing. Luckily the vehicle was under warranty and ASCM module was changed for free.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND MESSING WITH THE SEAT BELT REMINDERS!!

So to code, basically you need to get a special ethernet cable that hooks up to your laptop network port on one side and your x3 diagnostic port on the other. You then need to acquire the BMW E-Sys software and purchase a token. From there you can enable/disable/modify functions of various parts of the vehicle. there is a huge amount of information out there on e-sys, getting the cable, and the data files so I wont go over all of that here.

it is like any other part of vehicle warranty: the onus is on the manufacturer to prove that what you did caused what the warranty claim is for. If you fail a code writing and brick a module, then likely you will have to pay for it, but if you, say, code to disable the power window "safety" roll-up stop and your transmission blows out, the two are not related and you would still have a valid warranty claim. Hope that makes sense.

Has anyone had success with DVD in motion? Whenever I try to change the "SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX" value to "FF", it doesn't stick... it just stays at "00". The same goes for "SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN". Everything else I've tried has worked, but not this one.

you have to hit the little "save" button at the upper right corner of the window where you type the FF. It is a little out of the road and hard to see.

I believe the only two options were an OK button or a close button, but I'll have another look. Thanks for the tip.

More codes for F025

I could not get into this to do any additions, but have done more additional items...the most important being how to get the heads-up to display a lot more information.

F25 Coding Spread Sheet... need help

I need only three functions:

1. Remember last stop start state - dealers in South Africa does not offer this (I begged)
2. Fold mirror from single click of fob. Currently you have to hold the lock button for a couple seconds causing the sunroof cover to close a little... Annoying.
3. Rear tail light on when DLR is enabled. Audi works like this.

I don't see any of these on the cheat sheets.

Ps. I am only getting my coding kit delivered in a couple of weeks.

Can one of the admins make the F25 coding sheet a sticky?
Also has anyone gotten eco pro mode to be the default on the F25?

For the F30, set ICM / IcmKod_B_InitEco to verbaut to always start in Eco-Pro mode.

Not sure if this works on F25

Anyone able to get their 2011-2014 F25 w/ Xenons pkg to delete the amber while the Xenons are on and only have them come on when turn signal or hazards?

I did some coding and had problems

I own a 2013 X3 28i. A couple of months after taking delivery I did some coding. Everything was going great until I attempted to code the tail gate so I could close it using the fob or the button in the cockpit.

The coding worked great, for one day. Then the tailgate would not open or when it did it wouldn't close, or it would open halfway, close, and open halfway and close and open halfway and....well, you get the idea.

The dealer did see it as a warranty issue and to correct the problem a module had to be replaced. I guess this was an anomaly cause no one other than me ever said they had any similar problems. It did, however, end any desire to do any more coding.

Tail gate w/ fob key works fine for me
Amber delete is not.
