not sure if i have a serious isssue

hi, this is my 1st post, 2 days ago i traded my 56 plate 335d for an E60 M5, on the surface its amazing, service book is perfect and its been done every 5-6k and really looked after, 1 pervious owner from new, new clutch and disc and pads ect 6k ago.

When i got in the car i was going through the menus on my indication stem thing and noticed oil was at 0.6l which is perfect accoring to the manual, yesterday i noticed it was down to 0.4l and today its down to 0.3l, theres no signs of a leak tho from what i can tell, can anyone shed any light on this for me plz?

Have you been driving it, or is the oil dropping day to day just parked in the garage????

Some of them use considerable oil

If you have been been driving it hard, that is about normal, we all tend to carry a litre of 10w-60 in the car. When the level gets to 0.2liter it will request for a top up.

I would say this is normal. My car seems to use more oil on the interstate than it does driving around town. Also the older the oil ths more it will use.

As another poster mentioned, always keep a bottle of 10w-60 in the trunk.

Have your CCV (PCV) diaphragms checked - It's probably sucking the oil thru your intake.
