It's either a wheel speed sensor wire quick-disconnect, or a brake pad wear QD.

thought the pad sensors were driver side on the rear and pass side on front

Re: What is this!!! Help!

I have wear sensors on all four corners. Take the wheel off and have a good look at what it used to connect to. If you have wires hanging from the calipers, then it's the pad sensor. If the wires hang from the back side of the rotor, wheel speed sensor.

That covers it. 4 wheel pad sensors - never seen that.

I don't know what the deal is, but that's what is there. Really through me through a loop when I opened the manual and compared what I was reading to what I was looking at. I dunno ....

brake pad sensor wires. My 85' had the same thing but I cut all mine off, cause "ain't nobody got time for that!" lol. I also removed the little light bulb on the cluster for the brake lining light so it wouldn't light up.

Aint nobody got time for that! Lmao!! My brake lights (!) light is on but my brake lining warning light is not. My speedometer jumps up and down but the sensor looks totally detached which makes me think my speedometer should be dead and not read mph at all

Your speed sensor is in the differential. If your speedo is bouncing around.. most likely either corroded wires, bad connection behind cluster( this is why my speedo stopped working recently), or your speedo servo is worn out.

Getting back to the 'hanging down' question. It can only be one of two things. If the ABS light is not on then its a wear sensor. My daughter could fix this one. As for the other problems they have been covered too. Brake light? I thought there were ABS; Hand/Park/Emergency Brake on; Brake fluid level and wear sensor blown. Have I missed one? Would it have Brake Light globe blown warning?

Re: What is this!!! Help!

I'm pretty sure the op is refferring to the brake light up by the rear view mirror. I'm almost 98% sure that's his wear sensor quick disconnect hanging down.

When I first start my car my brake light warning lamp lights up on the command center but as soon as I touch my brakes it'll go out. Now as I am driving every other light will come on randomally except brake light and oil lol. I just got used to it. Start it up.. hit the check button.. drive 5 min hit it again... 10 min later all the rest follow except the two.. hit the check one last time and keep hoonin' ha.

Not even close, the picture is of the rear of the car ( note the shock absorber) no need for fog lights back there...

Re: What is this!!! Help!

That is your brake pad wear sensor wire. Obviously, its broken and must be replaced. It mounts in the inner pad and once connected to the dangling wiring, it clips into a plastic holder on the back of the disk brake dust shield. Your car has two wear sensors. The first one is on the right, rear wheel and the other one mounts on the front left. A failure in the wiring or if the pad wears too thin, causes the brake lining indictor to light up on your instrument cluster. You should change these everytime you change the pads.
